Final Thoughts

Chipper Jones has just a few rookie cards from his debut draft in 1991. When choosing which one to invest in, always go with whichever card resonates with you first and then choose the card you think the market will grasp second. Buy high grades of cards with a high supply and lower grades of cards with a low supply, this way you’re not competing for the winning bid. And as always, happy collecting!

  1. My wife picked me up a signed 1991 Classic Best Gem 10 of Chipper about 10 years ago and it hooked me back into cards. I remember looking at Desert Shield cards that were about $200 back then and I regret not pulling the trigger since those cards have sky-rocketed. Someday I’ll spear that white whale. Out of his other rookie cards, I’ve always had an affinity for the 1991 Score Card and have a PSA 10. That 1992 UD Holo is a great card too. I found that card for a couple bucks in a shop in Cooperstown the week after he was inducted.

  2. The desert Storm rookie chipper Jones has to be the best of all his card’s but I like the blue refractor card I figured it would have a bigger price tag but it is a nice card I wonder if someone could still find them in packs of cards if a man can find them I don’t ever see know boxes I am not sure what packs them come in I have been out of the game for some years trying to raise my family but everyone has left home trying to get back in but I am just looking for certain boxes if I can find any I would take all the help I can get if any body sees this give me a holler I am not picky about any of his rookie cards and maybe his triple AA cards I would love to find a couple of them to I just liked the guy he had the awesome swing he was right up there with Ken Griffey Jr swing amacing how they could stroke that bat they way they did and they could do it from both sides of the plate they were dangerous at the plate well I said enough just looking around going back a little bit so that is what I am looking for maybe some 89 upper deck Ken Griffey Jr rookie cards I believe I can find them what seris am i looking for like i said i been away for awhile thanks for all the help

  3. I would love to find a desert Storm chipper Jones but I know I will ever own one and I was collecting cards hard in that year I just couldn’t find any but that is all right I just picked up his 1993 upper deck card not in the best of shape but I give 5 dollars for it and that was probably too much but I had to have it in my collection I love the card but the corner and surface is not too good it was not took care of it was just laying in a pile of cards no sleeve on it or nothing I had to get it were I know it would be took care of but the damage has already been done but thanks for the article
